FAQ
Frequently asked questions.
Answers to the most common questions about supported integrations, pricing, and getting started.
What does OrderOut do?
OrderOut routes delivery and online orders from supported marketplaces (Uber Eats, DoorDash, Grubhub, ChowNow, Wix) into supported POS systems so restaurants can run one queue instead of juggling tablets.
Which POS systems are supported?
Live: Clover, Square, Pecan, Plateron, Truffle. Pending (private beta): Toast and Lightspeed. POS coverage is published on each integration page; if a system is not listed, it is not yet supported.
Which delivery channels are supported?
Uber Eats, DoorDash, Grubhub, ChowNow, and Wix are currently supported.
Is there a free plan?
Yes — the Free plan is available exclusively for Clover and Square. See the pricing page for full details.
How does OrderOut handle restaurant data?
OrderOut accesses only the marketplace and POS data needed to route orders, sync menus, and surface reporting. See the privacy policy for the full data-handling disclosure.
How do I get started?
Create a Dashboard account at dashboard.orderout.co/start, connect your POS, and connect one or more marketplaces — most setups complete in under an hour.
How does the 3rd-Party Order Engine work?
Orders arrive from delivery marketplaces, OrderOut normalizes them into your POS schema, and they appear in your POS as standard orders — same kitchen workflow, fewer tablets.
Does OrderOut sync menus to delivery marketplaces?
Are Toast and Lightspeed supported?
Toast and Lightspeed are pending — currently in private beta. Reach out to discuss early access if you use either of these POS systems.
What is the Delivery API?
The Delivery API lets you dispatch couriers from delivery providers using a single endpoint — for ordering platforms, third-party tools, or restaurant tech that needs delivery without contracting each provider directly.
How is the Delivery API priced?
Delivery API uses custom pricing based on volume. Request access via the contact form to start a sandbox conversation.
What are Same-Day Payouts?
Same-Day Payouts settle marketplace funds to restaurants on the same business day they are received — instead of waiting for the marketplace settlement cycle.
What banking services does OrderOut offer?
OrderOut Banking offers a restaurant-focused operating account with same-day deposits from connected marketplaces and POS-integrated reporting. Available in supported regions only.
How does Tipout work?
Tipout distributes credit-card tip totals to staff via direct deposit on a configurable schedule — typically next-day for participating employees.
What is OrderOut Online Ordering?
A direct online ordering surface for restaurants — orders flow into your POS via the same engine that routes marketplace orders, with no per-order marketplace fee.
Is Payments the same as Same-Day Payouts?
No. Payments handles processing and reconciliation; Same-Day Payouts handles next-business-day settlement of marketplace receivables. They are complementary products.
Who is eligible for the Free plan?
The Free plan is exclusively for restaurants on Clover or Square. No credit card is required to start. Other POS systems require Essential or Premium.
What happens after the first 300 orders on the Essential plan?
Essential includes the first 300 orders per month. Additional orders after 300 are billed at $0.20 per order. Order count resets each billing cycle.
How is Premium different from Essential?
Why are there no public dollar amounts on the developer tiers?
Sandbox access is request-based and free. Production and Enterprise/Platform pricing is shaped by integration volume, endpoints used, and SLA — we quote each contract individually rather than publishing a per-call or per-integration price.
Can I change plans later?
Yes. Plan changes are made from your OrderOut dashboard at any time. Free, Essential, and Premium upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle. Contact support if you need help mapping features to your usage.
